Parastā cidonija ‘Aiva’

Parastā cidonija jeb aiva (Cydonia oblonga) ir vienīgā suga cidoniju (Cydonia) ģintī, kas ietilpst ābeļu apakšdzimtā. Tā stumbrs ir līks. Ziedi ir balti vai bāli rozā ar piecām ziedlapām. Bumbierveidīgie zeltainie augļi ir āboli. Neapstrādātas parastās cidonijas ir cietas un ne sevišķi garšīgas, tāpēc biežāk tās īpaši pagatavo vai izmanto ēdienu sastāvā. Izmanto marmelāžu gatavošanā.
