Gooseberry ‘Rita’

Medium-late ripening. The shrub is medium-height and spreading. Shoots are almost thornless. The berries are fairly large, oval, and dark red. Flavor is pleasantly sweetand-sour. Productive variety. Good winter hardiness and resistance to leaf spot diseases.
