Rowan ‘Burca’

Height up to 2.5 m, with a compact crown. Fruits ripen in September–October and are larger than those of common rowan, red-brown with dark red flesh. The flavor is sweet-and-sour with a slight bitterness. About 60 berries in a bunch. The berries contain 30 mg% vitamin C and 7.5% sugar.The variety is very productive. Self-sterile; pollinated by other rowans and chokeberries.
