Quince ‘Aiva’
Quince or ayva (Cydonia oblonga) is the only specie of quince (Cydonia) genus, which belongs to the subfamily of the apple tree. Its trunk is curved. The flowers are white or pale pink with five petals. The pear-shaped golden fruits are apples. Raw common quinces are hard and not very tasty, so they are more often specially prepared or used in dishes. Used in the preparation of marmalades.
